Full-time Business Segment: NBCU Corporate We create world-class content, which we distribute across our portfolio of film, television, and streaming, and bring to life through our theme parks and consumer experiences. We own and operate leading entertainment and news brands, including NBC, NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, Telemundo, NBC Local Stations, Bravo, USA Network, and Peacock, our premium ad-supported streaming service. Role Purpose: This strategic sourcing manager will be responsible for leading the sourcing activities for the Selling General and Administrative (SG&A) category. These services will include, but are not limited to, Financial Services, Professional Services and HR related services. The strategic sourcing manager analyzes data and works with internal business partners to identify opportunities, develop strategies, manage RFx’s, and negotiate agreements. The strategic sourcing manager will ensure that supplier management processes are established within business units and that the sourcing process is followed for applicable sourcing activities. Must have the ability to think analytically, work independently, and manage multiple competing priorities. Responsibilities: Analyze spend data from a variety of sources to develop and implement sourcing strategies. Build pricing models and financial analysis in support of negotiation strategies. Negotiate and implement deals that maximize cost savings, improve service levels, mitigate contractual risks, and create/improve overall value for NBCU. Demonstrate sourcing leadership; communicate and implement fact-based sourcing strategies across functions and with various levels of management. Manage long term strategy, continuous improvement, and day to day operations of the Financial Services Category. Remain abreast of internal and external factors affecting commodity areas; identify opportunities and determine best in class sources of supply. Continually introduce industry best practices to NBCU and implement where feasible. Manage RFx process utilizing sourcing best practices. Negotiate contracts while maintaining a strong understanding of contracting language and principles. Develop project plans, deliverables, metrics and milestones. Implement process disciplines and management systems necessary to achieve desired results. Develop compelling business cases/analyses to drive meaningful change in process or supplier as appropriate to meet sourcing strategy and business objectives. Lead quarterly supplier reviews with key vendors to ensure progress and compliance with NBCUniversal policies and key program objectives. Basic Requirements: 5+ years procurement experience in a sophisticated sourcing environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law or related field. MBA preferred. Strong proficiency in all stages of the sourcing life cycle (from market analysis to procure to pay), especially the negotiation of contractual agreements. Cost Modeling: Ability to understand cost drivers and how to break down cost structures. Excellent ability to use Microsoft Suite and web-based tools. Desired Characteristics: Skills and flexibility to assume a variety of projects in the aforementioned categories is required. Quantitative analytics skills including the ability to analyze complex data and build cost models. Strategic thinking skills including an ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives. Effective integrator, collaborator and promoter; ability to influence toward optimal sourcing outcomes. Communication and interpersonal skills including crisp verbal skills plus effective listening skills; effective facilitation skills. Ability to work across all functions and levels of an organization to influence change. Execution skills including persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem-solving skills. Additional Requirements: Must be willing to work in New York, NY or Philadelphia, PA. This position has been designated as
hybrid , generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $95,000 - $120,000 (bonus eligible).
