Description Senior Analytics Business Intelligence Engineer *Remote - Most States Eligible The Senior Data Engineer is a technical-facing role within an Information Services, Analytics, or Engineering organization that leverages business relationships to design, develop, and deploy analytics solutions. The Senior Data Engineer works with Business Stakeholders, Data Engineers, Data Managers, Data Scientists, and Cloud Engineers to understand business needs and requirements, assess the impacts of those needs, and translate them to data-driven and data-centric enterprise solutions. This role requires the development and building of published data layer objects and/or visualizations for consumption by the end user community. The Senior Data Engineer must create innovative and forward-facing visualizations that inspire a focus on business improvement and must be able to work with a variety of business and technical roles through the enterprise. They need to articulate business needs and integrate input from other stakeholders to develop and implement enterprise solutions that are highly reliable, scalable, and secure. In addition to impact assessments, the Senior Data Engineer must conduct root cause analysis and identify not only the proximate cause of an issue but also other conditions and factors that led to the occurrence of that issue. The Senior Data Engineer will deploy and propagate standard practices in development for data engineering, data/report modeling, data architecture, efficiency in product design, visualization efficiency, requirements gathering, and business analysis. They will work with various technical and non-technical stakeholders to adopt such standard processes. This role involves using a variety of tools to analyze data and collaborate with others to organize and catalog the data to obtain insights. The Senior Data Engineer will act as a subject matter expert for certain data domains or practices, such as a skilled knowledge in key Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or business systems like clinical, quality, operational, revenue data, or other focus areas. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or Informatics, or 4 years of related experience. 5 years of related experience in data, analytics, and/or Business Intelligence (BI) tools and technologies with direct Enterprise Production ownership and publishing. 7 years of experience with SQL, Cloud, Visual Studio, ADO, Power BI, Tableau, or other development, reporting, or coordination/collaboration tools. Preferred Qualifications: Within 6 months (180 days) of hire, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) proficiency or certification (if applicable). 5 years of strong organizational, presentation, and writing skills with the ability to successfully interact across functions at all levels of an organization and with customers. 5 years of in-depth experience with developing data and product roadmaps & functional specifications, UAT, customer support, launching new products, conducting customer research, and facilitating user testing. 5 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry, preferably with relevant Electronic Medical Records (EMR) certifications, where applicable.
