Contracts Specialist
to join a leading Company located in the
Los Alamitos, CA
surrounding area. Salary Range: $75K - $85K Under general direction, provide contracts administration and management support in the following key focus areas: proposing, negotiation recommendations, contract changes, responding to customer correspondence, interfacing with internal and external customers on contractual matters, flowing down contractual requirements to various organizations and providing contract support to ensure successful contract execution and customer satisfaction. Job Responsibilities:
Perform contracts function as directed by Senior Manager, Contracts & Estimating. Professionally and accurately manage customer RFP/RFQs in such a manner as to capture business, providing the customer with quality proposals, meeting customer requirements, and minimizing risk to the Company. Ensure all quotations are substantiated with proper backup (e.g., customer requests, Company basis for quotations and actual submittal documentation, negotiation notes, and final pricing agreements). Coordinate major proposal activity. Create and submit proposals and quotations to customers. Review, analyze and compile summary of risk terms and conditions for management review and in support of potential negotiations. Support Customer Service department to review customer terms and conditions on purchase orders; provide guidance to Customer Service department on contractual matters. Adopt process improvements within the contracts organization, understand policies and procedures to manage the risks and liabilities of the Company. Ensure contract files and supporting documents are maintained and updated. Monitor and track contract amendments and pricing escalation requirements. Review, execute and maintain NDAs, PIAs, Reps and Certs and other types of customer agreements. This job description does not include all duties. Other duties may be assigned. Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent education and experience; 5-7 years of experience in review, negotiation, preparation and administration of major Government, Commercial, International, Military and Defense proposals and contracts related to the manufacture of products. Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Certification in Contract Management is a plus. Experience and knowledge of ITAR/EAR rules and regulations as established by the US Government. Working knowledge of FARS, DFARS and related US Government contracting regulations. Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts. Experience and skills in negotiating pricing and contractual terms and conditions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Benefits offered vary by contract.
