Full Time Job Description: Netimpact Strategies is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who should have expertise in managing and optimizing complex IT infrastructures. This individual should be proficient in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of systems, networks, and servers across various environments (on-premises, cloud, hybrid). They must be skilled in systems automation, performance monitoring, disaster recovery, and ensuring high availability, and should also have strong knowledge of security best practices, patch management, and IT compliance. This position requires excellent problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving system issues to enhance operational efficiency. This role is located onsite in Bethesda, MD. Responsibilities: Configure and maintain servers in compliance with agency security regulations and standards and ensure system uptime of 99.6% or higher, excluding scheduled maintenance. Manage and support physical infrastructure at data centers and virtual environments in AWS and Azure. Provide expertise in managing storage systems (e.g., Dell PowerScale, Avamar, Data Domain). Administer and support database environments, including Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and FileMaker Pro. Manage Active Directory, including Users and Computers, Group Policies, and group memberships. Automate patching and software deployment for Mac, Windows, and Linux environments using JAMF, MECM, and Ansible. Plan, test, and execute migrations to FedRAMP-compliant cloud providers (AWS and Azure). Develop and maintain tagging structures, network configurations, and documentation for cloud resources. Provide continuous monitoring, maintenance, and security support for cloud-hosted workloads. Provide support for scientific systems, including HPC clusters, virtual servers, Linux servers, and NAS/SAN systems. Qualifications: Preferred: Master's Degree and/or Equivalency (Bachelor's degree + 2 additional years of experience or HS Diploma + 6 additional years of experience). CompTIA Security +, Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Microsoft Windows Server 2022 certified with five (5) years of practical experience in a production environment or at the discretion of the government based on excess work experience. Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Certifications (e.g., MCSA). Previous Federal Consulting Experience.
