Event Manager
to join their team! Chimba restaurant is a culinary journey through South America. Our mission is to elevate our passion for the continent's richness, blending exotic flavors with the authenticity of traditions. Inspired by the vitality that courses through South America,
music enriches the energy of our place, harmonizing with flavors for a unique experience. As an
Event Manager , you will be responsible for the successful development, sales, planning and overall execution of events, experiences & meetings that take place within the restaurant. The
Event Manager
will interact frequently with customers and Guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships from which to earn repeat and expanded business. What will I be doing? Sell, manage and execute curated & customized experiences that align with our brand and goals. Collaborate with management team to develop unique concepts. Communicate verbally and in writing (group resume, weekly pick up, post event report, call reports, banquet event orders etc.) with customers and internal team in a proactive manner relative to payments, space management, food and beverage. Direct customer services via site visits, and planning meetings for definite and potential groups and effectively showcase the restaurant and all services. Offer the venue to potential customers and companies, maximize revenues and control expenses through effective negotiation of services and accurate forecasting. Respond to guest inquiries and special requests and resolve issues or concerns in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. Attendance required at forecasting meetings, menu review, and operational pre-shift meetings if applicable. What are we looking for? We are looking for a skilled multitasker and troubleshooter, with experience in the hospitality industry, events management or sales. Must be detail-oriented and able to keep track of multiple projects at once. Available either part or full time. Based in Miami.
