The team manages a highly complex network and telecommunications at a central office and satellite sites located in the New York City area. Currently, the network hardware at these satellite sites is over 10 years old and at End of Life (EoL). Along with this, the software support has expired for these devices, making them susceptible to vulnerabilities. As part of a team process refreshing the infrastructure with modern hardware and solutions at its satellite sites, the team will be required to perform fieldwork, visiting the various customer-managed buildings to replace the hardware where necessary. Job Description: The consultant will be performing highly technical responsibilities at varying levels of difficulty and with varying degrees of latitude for independent initiative and judgment. Responsibilities will not be limited to upgrading the network infrastructure at various customer-owned sites but also taking charge of day-to-day network and telecommunication issues, which involves critical thinking and problem-solving in concert with the utilization of industry standard best practices. Job Duties: Work with Network infrastructure and Telecommunication team leader for upgrading network, implementing wireless solutions (Meraki & Cisco), and their support/troubleshooting. Work on Cisco Catalyst, Nexus switches, and Cisco VoIP devices. Implement protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, SSH, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, and routing protocols. Implement security products including firewalls, IPSec, RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, and other common protocols. Data gathering of landline at various customer buildings where VoIP will be deployed. Design of the LAN considering legacy equipment integration/upgrade needs. Consultant will be managing the deployment process as follows: Unpack the equipment and perform an initial inventory of each item, ensuring that all components are accounted for before beginning the installation. Rack all equipment at each site. Remove debris from each location. Connect power cords to switch and power outlet and confirm power to the unit. Connect cables as per Vendor spreadsheet for all network devices. Document the equipment onto an inventory spreadsheet. Provide documentation via inventory spreadsheet. Import asset to customer asset inventory system. Design recommendations based on CISCO best practice methodology. • Project planning for the implementation, maintenance window. • Consultant must be willing to travel to various customer buildings across area boroughs for data gathering, network deployment, and troubleshooting. • Tasks may include network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools (sniffer, syslog, NetFlow, TCPDUMP, Wireshark). • Day-to-day configuration, management, and operations of Cisco Firepower firewalls, ISE, Stealthwatch, and DNAC. • Use Cisco Command line interface, Windows, OSX, and Linux. • In certain instances, the consultant may be asked to assist in troubleshooting beyond the normal work hours. • Expected to document networks, network systems, MOPs, and other documents that can be used as operational materials. • Conduct network and security assessments to troubleshoot and optimize network performance and design. Support and lead efforts of the design, testing, evaluation, and implementation of new architectures and technologies. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: At least 12 years of experience in an IT network engineering/Technician role. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of complex Routing & Switching Environments. Must possess strong experience with Meraki, Firewalls, DNA, and ISE. Ability to work independently is critical. Some amount of physical work expected for installation and cabling. Experience in implementing network patches. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Position is client-facing. Strong Customer Support and interpersonal skills are required. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Cisco WLAN and ISE specific experience desired. Understanding of Meraki Wi-Fi deployment, VPN Certificates, and wireless routers. Working knowledge of ITIL processes, specifically Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management. Active CCNA certification preferred. Work Hours: Normal business hours Monday-Friday 35 hours/week (not including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work). Days/hours of the week will change if after hours/weekend work is scheduled for the upgrade and deployment. (Weekly hours will be adjusted accordingly). NOTE:

Consultants are responsible for arriving at various customer sites on time, as their work requires. Consultants will coordinate equipment delivery with the network team to customer sites when needed.
