Overview
Kimley-Horn's Los Angeles, California (CA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with at least 4+ years of experience to join our growing Transit team! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities
The selected candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transit and rail/track design projects with a particular focus on, but not limited to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects. Various tasks may include corridor concept development, assistance in public outreach, and transit evaluation. This role will require a high degree of multi-disciplinary coordination. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical. Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience. Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months). Outgoing, self-motivated team player. 4+ years of transit-focused engineering experience including: Transit corridor design experience, focused on (but not limited to) BRT and LRT modes. Track/guideway design. Roadway design. Station design, including park-and-ride facilities. High level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience communicating and working with clients. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and detail-orientation. Ability to balance priorities among multiple projects. Salary Range
