SEH is growing and we’re seeking an energetic and self-motivated Bridge Inspector in the Denver, Colorado office. SEH has an immediate Full-Time Opportunity for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader. Relocation packages are available. This Opportunity: Performing in-service bridge inspections in accordance with FHWA and NBIS guidelines Planning field trips, performing field inspections of bridges, and preparation of inspection reports Identifying required maintenance and rehabilitation and associated costs Assisting other lead inspectors in the field during bridge inspections. Essential Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado or licensed Professional Engineer in another state or NCEES record with the ability to obtain registration in Colorado within six months of employment. FHWA/NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Certification and strong working knowledge of current Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). Strong working knowledge and proficiency with bridge inspection activities including planning of trips and preparation of bridge inspection reports. Previous experience and/or thorough understanding of FHWA and Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) bridge inspection guidelines and requirements. Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word). Demonstrated experience exhibiting high levels of organization and attention to documentation needs. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and convey technical and sensitive information to a non-technical audience. Ability to travel out of town for a period of up to several weeks at a time up to three times a year to conduct nationwide bridge inspections. Must possess a valid Driver's License to operate company vehicles during inspection trips. Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 40 pounds. Qualifications: At least three (3) years of previous structural experience as a Lead Inspector for in-service bridge inspections for various types of bridges. Knowledge of items in the Specifications for the Bridge Inventory (SNBI) and their relationship to Bridge Inventory (NBI) items. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation SPRAT certification Who We Are Better Places. Clean Water. Renewing Infrastructure. Improving Mobility. Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $94,000 and $115,000 based on skill set and experience. The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
