Job Title: OT Ignition Developer
Work location: Hybrid
Travel Requirement: 25% approx. 5-7 days per month
This position is an integral part of the Global Operations Technology Team and will act as the lead on Ignition applications development projects. The OT Ignition Developer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our industrial systems. The specialist will be responsible for managing Ignition projects both large and small. They will work closely with global, local engineering teams, operations, and external integrators to develop the required OT applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Project Management and Change Planning for Ignition, Industry 4.0 and digitalization projects Troubleshooting issues with OT systems On support issues, will need to know who to work with from impacted departments and sites and what support group to call depending on the issue. Maintain integration, installation, and configuration of specialized systems used by Operations. Coordination of IT or 3rd party support of software or hardware Monitor life cycle of factory applications including patches, licenses, and support agreements. This position could also participate as a project team member for manufacturing-related projects as OT.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering) with a focus on computers, networks, software systems, and industrial controls. 3-5 years of relevant support experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
2-3 years of experience in:
Integrating SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) applications Testing, documenting, and training IT/OT systems Collaborating with internal customers to deliver application solutions and project support Working with third-party project and support vendors Report writing and management
