Solutions Architect / Pre-Sales Network Engineer

Job Description
The company, Netris, partners with NVIDIA, Dell, and other leading GPU and Cloud hardware vendors. Netris provides network automation, abstraction, and operations software enabling private, public, and GPU cloud provider networks. You will be primarily working with cloud provider customers to plan, deploy, and launch highly automated, scalable, and multi-tenant networks for AI Training, Inference, HPC, Cloud Computing, and other modern use-cases.
The ideal candidate will report to and partner with co-founders and senior leadership to learn and improve Netris’ solutions architecture practice and customer success programs.
Key Responsibilities
Solutions Engineering
Participate in sales calls and live demos with prospective and existing customers.
Suggest tailored solutions using our technology to meet the technical and business goals of the customer.
Setting up POC and prototyping solutions using NVIDIA Air or Netris CloudSim infrastructure digital twin technologies.
Create proposals, SOWs, LLD, and other customer-facing documents for pre-sales and post-sales processes.
Network Engineering
Helping customers design networks, topology, BOM (bill of materials), and cost management.
Designing application-specific networks such as networks optimized for AI training, inference, hybrid cloud, virtualization, and cloud technologies such as containers and Kubernetes.
Designing highly available, multi-region, and multi-tenant networks.
Integrating with various Networking technologies.
Troubleshooting and support during pre/post-sales period.
Create infrastructure-as-a-code packages for customer-specific deployments using Netris Terraform Provider.
Product Improvement
Working closely with engineering and product teams to advocate for customers during the new feature design and development process.
Help prioritize feature backlog based on technical deal-blockers.
Document best practices and technical solutions.
Technical Skills Needed
The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiple skill sets below and willing to fill in their gaps.
Network Engineering and Architecture
CCIE R&S grade Network Engineering skills
Ability to design, implement, and support BGP/EVPN and VXLAN based switch network fabrics.
Prior experience working with Cisco or Arista switches
Prior experience working with Cumulus and/or SONiC operating systems
Expertise in designing and implementing complex network systems.
Strong understanding of BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN network protocols.
Linux & Virtual Networking Skills
Excellent skills in Linux networking, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting using tools such as Iptables, tcpdump, iperf, and others.
Comfortable configuring BGP underlays and overlays with FRR.
Understanding of container and Kubernetes networking.
Vmware VSphere & NSX networking.
KVM-based: OpenStack, Apache Cloud Stack, Proxmox, Harvester networking.
Linux Skills
Proficiency with installing, upgrading, and maintaining Linux servers (Ubuntu, RedHat).
System Administration.
Troubleshooting, log analysis, resource management.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall have both
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network or System Engineer.
2+ years of experience as a Sales or Solutions Engineer.
Desired but not required qualifications
Background in Computer Science.
CCIE (Routing & Switching).
RHCE or equivalent.
Compensation:
Base $105-160k + commissions. The actual compensation will vary based on location and individual skills and experience.
