THE ROLE :
This is a hybrid role tied to our NYC headquarters. MMC offers a flexible hybrid work model encouraging collaboration in the office three days a week, while allowing remote work for two days.
MMC is looking for a Vice President, Analytics & Insights with strong agency experience to lead day-to-day analytics work and contribute to the long-term vision for the broader MMC Analytics & Insights team. You will be responsible for informing an insight-driven approach to our communications, understanding trends and consumer behaviors, and evaluating media and influencer effectiveness across digital and offline media channels.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY :
This exciting role is part leader, part builder and part doer:
Lead
cross-functional and internal teams through a wide variety of data-infused and business-leading activities. Lead teams through the development of analytics strategies and frameworks. Deploy best-in-class performance analytics approaches to demonstrate campaign effectiveness. Design research approaches across various methods, including social and media listening, primary and secondary sources. Map and vet influencers and key opinion leaders to support large national and global campaigns. Provide expert POVs, education, and coaching from inception through execution. Own responsibility for staffing, budgets, influencing team culture, growing accounts, and regulating the climate of the work environment. Build
the nimble and growing team that fuels the agency's data obsession. Inform team design in collaboration with the department head and the Executive Committee. Bring your expertise to shape best practices and ways of working to shape agency work and innovation. Collaborate with OPRG peers to provide input and shape innovation across the holding company. Do
hands-on work day-to-day to advance projects and meet the needs of our teams and clients. Work directly and autonomously within tools and with teams to lead research, mine trends and insights, execute reports, etc. Ensure high-quality team outputs across deliverables. Identify and evaluate technologies within MMC and OPRG tech stack. Develop and maintain written documentation of methodologies. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR : 7-10+ years of experience, with at least 5 within an agency. Full-funnel data & analytics acumen, from research and planning to data-driven campaign activation and testing, all the way to robust reporting, analytics, and visualization. Overall team management, including mentoring, coaching, workload and process oversight, and forecasting/anticipating work. Financial acumen related to estimating and forecasting work and engaging external partners. Broad and deep category experience – working across Health, Pharma, CPG (beauty, grooming, haircare, household goods), Corporate. Working expertise in all relevant methodologies and mixed-methodologies, especially in key areas of data and analytics. Ability to go deep and execute and coach in key areas of Listening (Social, Media, Primary & Secondary Research), Attribution / Measurement Frameworks, Audience Modeling. Data & Analytics experience in areas including: 360 Market Analysis, Custom Research Design & Execution (Quant & Qual, Utilization of Secondary Tools), SEO, Audience and Stakeholder Mapping/Vetting, Performance Tracking & Reporting, Overall Measurement Strategies & Frameworks, Data Visualization & Dashboarding. Data storytelling and translation for non-analytical audiences – ensuring the actionable translation of numbers/findings into insights and opportunities. Internal and client communications excellence across all levels, including senior and executive leadership. Growth-oriented team and client management, both for current clients and new business. Proficiency in social and earned media listening tools (preferably Talkwalker and Muck Rack), campaign analytics operations (pixel/tag management and UTMs), and audience research tools (GWI or MRI/Simmons preferred). Working knowledge of data visualization platforms (PowerBI), SQL and/or Python strongly preferred. WHAT MMC OFFERS : Paid Holidays. Vacation & Wellness Days.
