Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist to join our team. As a Senior Chemist, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, developing new products, and ensuring quality control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical chemistry, product development, and laboratory techniques. Duties: Perform activities in the laboratory and the field involving the analyses and recommendation for the treatment of drinking and wastewater supplies. Maintain and perform quality assurance/quality control. Operate simple and sophisticated laboratory equipment. Compile data and prepare findings. Generate reports. Develop programs and procedures. Monitor efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Operate analytical instrumentation (i.e. GC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, HPLC, IC). Provide ongoing feedback, development, and performance reviews of staff. Initiate and perform operations projects involving water quality. Prepare special and standard reagents and solutions for use in chemical testing. Prepare reports and maintain records of findings and recommendations. Perform tasks and duties as assigned. Lift up to 30 lbs. Be technically proficient and current in USDA, FDA, AOAC, USP associated with HPLC, GC/FID, ICP/MS, GC/MS/MS, LC/MS/MS, etc. Be proficient in the requirements of ISO17025:2017 including updating existing SOPs and writing new SOPs for new procedures. Identify and implement new procedures, updating existing procedures (SOPs). Communicate with clients in a friendly, effective, and knowledgeable manner. Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity, maintain a clean work environment, and adhere to strict quality guidelines. Be proficient with LIMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, and be a fast learner and dependable. Work Schedule must be flexible to match client needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in chemistry, biology, bacteriology, chemical engineering, or a closely related field. LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:

A valid driver license is a plus at the time of application.
