Targeted Lipid Nanoparticle Development Scientist
Eurofins GSC Poland Sp. z o. o., Boston, Massachusetts, us, 02298
The candidate will have a highly visible and integral role towards the process development, scale-up, and manufacturing of Gene Therapy LNPs. The ideal candidate will have experience with lipid nanoparticle formulation, various mixing equipment, TFF system, characterization tools and understanding/knowledge of process parameters. In this highly collaborative and cross-functional role, you will help develop/optimize the client process and improve process understanding for multiple programs at various stages of non-clinical development.
Key Responsibilities
Independently and collaboratively design and execute lab studies. Summarize experimental results and share scientific insights with cross-functional teams. Contribute to the development of targeted lipid nanoparticle (TNP) formulation scale-up processes. Perform routine characterizations of LNP/TNP to capture their physical and chemical properties. Adhere to GLP and maintain good documentation practices using an electronic lab notebook. Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean lab environment. Follow documentation and safety protocols. Write protocols and technical reports to support formulation development. Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields with 2+ years of relevant industrial working experience preferred. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields with 4+ years of recent relevant industrial working experience. Hands-on experience with small-scale LNP formulations using Ignite NanoAssemblr. Proficiency in LNP/TNP characterization techniques/assays for size, zeta potential, RNA and protein concentration, pH, osmolality, encapsulation efficiency, etc. Experience with mid-scale LNP formulation (T-mixing, IJM) and TFF processes. Knowledge of bioconjugation chemistry and antibody conjugates is a plus. Understanding of industry practices and standards. Strong willingness to learn and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to deliver quality results in a timely manner.
