Who you are You are an inquisitive and analytical professional with a passion for uncovering insights and translating data into actionable recommendations. With strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, you excel at collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to support decision-making. You are proficient in research methodologies and have a solid grasp of quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Your ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively enables you to create impactful reports and presentations that resonate with stakeholders.

How you will make an impact You will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and strategic planning within the organization. Your ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex data sets will uncover valuable insights that inform business strategies and enhance operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities Participate in community outreach initiatives using various contact methods. Engage with NHOs to capture their experiences with the program using various established data materials such as surveys, questionnaires, interview guides, etc. Collections methods will include in person and phone interviews, virtually, and focus groups. Must be able to travel to surrounding islands as needed. Participate in team meetings as required. Collaborate with other team members. Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships in the NHC. May be required to attend and participate in annual symposium. Remote; however, some travel to meet with participants and meeting locations is required. Participate in validation of data collection materials through pilot testing.

Here's what you need Experience in climate change adaptation and resilience, with a focus on research and report writing. Experience in community or stakeholder engagement, especially with Native Hawaiian Organizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Cultural awareness and sensitivity. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. This is a remote position. Must be available for travel to meeting locations throughout Hawaii.
