Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group is seeking a full-time, certified Physician Assistant in Palliative Care. Palliative Care and Support Services (PCSS) is widely recognized nationally as an innovator in delivering integrated, multidisciplinary palliative care for an outpatient setting. Resource-rich working environment Schedule designed to promote work/life balance Collaborate with a talented team of on-site primary care clinicians and medical specialists Manage health problems and coordinate health care for patients in accordance with State Federal Rules and Regulations Provide comprehensive, coordinated, and compassionate care for patients and families facing serious illness Formulate a comprehensive care plan, patient education, and ongoing evaluation in collaboration with the palliative care interdisciplinary team for palliative care patients in home, office, and SNF/ALF settings as well as telemedicine Prescribe and administer medications/immunizations including controlled substances to the extent delegated and licensed, and in collaboration with palliative care and/or referring physician Requirements
6 months related clinical experience in Oncology, Geriatrics, Hospice, Home Health, or Palliative Care Current California State PA License CAPA Controlled Substance Certification (for Physician Assistants only) Current Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (for Nurse Practitioners only) Active DEA registration Board Certification required We Offer / Join Us and Enjoy
