Primary Objective
This position focuses on economic development, and specifically the coordination, planning, administration and delivery of economic and community development projects within the City. Projects could be under the administration of the Port Authority, HRA or the City itself.
This position is onsite and is eligible to work 1 day remote upon hire. Consideration for 2 days total remote will be given after completion of a six month training/probationary period.

- Preparing and coordinating Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) for the sale of public land and other services
- Assisting with strategic planning activities
- Reviewing professional and technical reports and summarizing findings
- Managing tenants, property managers and leasing of publicly owned buildings
- Assisting with administration of local economic development assistance programs
- Developing strategies for attracting and retaining desired businesses, as directed by the Port Authority
- Preparing and conducting presentations for small groups or boards, commissions, or councils
- Performing other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- One year experience in development with a Port Authority, Housing and Redevelopment Authority, Economic Development Authority, planning agency, or private real estate developer
- Master's Degree in Planning, Urban Affairs, Public Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a similar field
- Additional years government and/or development experience with a Port Authority, Housing and Redevelopment Authority, Economic Development Authority, planning agency, or private real estate developer
- Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) and/or International Economic Development Council (IEDC) certification
