We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Summary: The HR Generalist will support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, performance management, wellness programs, compliance, benefits administration, leave management, employee relations, and various projects. This role plays a vital part in enhancing HR processes, fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting employee retention, and promoting the organization’s values and mission. Key Responsibilities: Respond to employee inquiries via email or phone within 24 hours. Partner with the HR team to implement and improve HR programs, policies, and processes. Support wellness, employee engagement, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and other organizational initiatives. Assist with onboarding new hires and ensuring a positive employee experience. Address day-to-day employee inquiries, providing timely and accurate resolutions. Coordinate the performance management process and employee recognition programs. Administer benefits and manage leave of absence processes in compliance with policies and regulations. Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and ensure timely filing. Create, analyze, and share HR reports and data insights as needed. Support offboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for departing employees. Oversee and administer relevant training programs in compliance with state and federal laws. Facilitate safety programs and minimize workplace injuries by coordinating Safety Committee meetings and initiatives. Participate in various HR projects to gain exposure to different HR functions and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with HR practices and identify opportunities for process automation and streamlining. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant HR experience. Ability to travel throughout the greater SF Bay Area as needed. Experience supporting a professional services or public accounting firm (preferred). Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including ADA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, EEO compliance, and more. Proficiency in HRIS systems (experience with ADP highly valued). PHR certification or similar (preferred). Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively in a paperless environment. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure. Curiosity and willingness to learn and apply employment-related laws and best practices.
