We are partnered with a Bitcoin Fintech that is seeking their next Senior Network Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team. This organization is a leader in Bitcoin-based financial solutions, working on innovative projects that bridge traditional finance with blockchain technology. Key Responsibilities Network Design & Implementation: Develop and deploy scalable, high-performance network infrastructures tailored to evolving business requirements. Lead the implementation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN technologies. Network Maintenance & Optimization: Oversee network performance, ensuring reliability, uptime, and security across diverse locations. Perform routine updates, patches, and system upgrades to align with operational and security standards. Optimize network configurations to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness. Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve complex network issues to minimize operational disruptions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Security & Compliance: Administer firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security tools. Ensure adherence to industry compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or equivalent. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of network architecture, configurations, and operational processes. Generate regular performance reports and updates for senior leadership. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with external vendors and service providers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business goals. Qualifications: At least 10 years of experience in enterprise-level network engineering roles. Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or comparable systems). Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS). Experience with SD-WAN and cloud network solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Skilled in network security tools, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS. Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., LogicMonitor, Grafana, Wireshark). Certifications (Preferred): Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or CompTIA Security. Soft Skills: Analytical and problem-solving mindset. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python scripting). Familiarity with ITIL practices and incident management processes.
