Entry Level Civil Engineer

Company Description B&B Engineering is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join their growing civil engineering firm This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career and be exposed to many different types of projects in the civil engineering field. Work will include assisting with site plan design and development, roadway design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design. The successful candidate will assist with designing commercial, mixed-use, residential, and municipal projects. Individuals must possess an energetic and professional demeanor and have an eagerness to learn. learn. Responsibilities include: Using AutoCAD Civil 3Dto design s ite plans including drainage calculations, grading, utility relocation Completing and submitting all permit applications to the appropriate agencies and ensuring projects are compliant throughout the design and construction stages Overseeing soil testing for design purposes Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications /Skills: · General knowledge of engineering principles · Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, etc. · General knowledge of general construction processes, practices, and work sites. · Experience with AutoCAD is preferred, experience with Civil 3D is plus. · Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. · Ambitious nature, willing to adapt and learn Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Construction Technology. 1-2 years in the engineering or construction industry preferred, including internships. EIT License preferred Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools Proficient computer skills. Job Type: Full-time
