Job Title: Corporate Events Salesperson Job Location : The Union at Station West Department : Sales & Marketing Reports To : Owner Position Overview: The Corporate Events Salesperson is responsible for driving sales and revenue generation for corporate events, conferences, and meetings. This role requires a dynamic, results-driven individual who can identify, engage, and close business opportunities within corporate sectors. The ideal candidate will build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, deliver tailored solutions for clients, and work closely with the event planning and operations teams to ensure client satisfaction and event success. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development: Maintains a book of business and contacts in the corporate area of events and can help generate events and catering business fairly quickly and effectively. Generate new business leads through networking, cold calling, prospecting, and referrals. Develop and implement strategies to reach new corporate clients for events such as conferences, seminars, product launches, meetings, and incentives. Conduct in-depth needs analysis and provide customized proposals, ensuring event objectives and client expectations are met. Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, event planners, and decision-makers. Understand client needs and expectations, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality event experience. Follow up with clients to gather feedback post-event and ensure satisfaction, working to secure repeat business. Event Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with the internal event planning, catering, beverage and operations teams to ensure that client specifications are met. Attend site visits with clients and help them understand how the venue and services can meet their event objectives. Coordinate all sales aspects of the event from initial inquiry to execution, including contracts, budgets, and timelines. Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to identify new opportunities for growth. Provide insights and recommendations for new products, services, and event offerings based on market demands. Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client communications, and event details within CRM systems. We use Tripleseat and Toast. Prepare regular reports on sales progress, forecasts, and business development strategies. Collaborate with the marketing team to create sales materials, proposals, and promotional content. Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years in sales, event management, or corporate hospitality, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals; preferably in the Charlotte, NC market but not required. Experience in corporate event sales, hotel sales, or venue sales is highly preferred. Compensation: Salary : Base Salary based on experience Bonus based on sales performance.
