Job Description: This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine analytical chemistry tests, primarily utilizing atomic spectroscopy techniques (e.g., ICP-OES, AA, ICP-MS) to support research and development, quality control, or other departmental needs. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of experienced scientists and engineers to ensure accurate and timely analytical data. Responsibilities: Prepare samples for analysis using various techniques such as digestion, filtration, and dilution. Operate and maintain atomic spectroscopy instruments including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration. Perform routine and non-routine analytical tests Follow and help create/update established standard operating procedures (SOPs). Analyze and interpret analytical data, generate reports, and present findings to colleagues. Assist in the development and validation of new analytical methods. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following all laboratory safety protocols. Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions. Assist with other laboratory tasks as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. 0-2 years of relevant experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory (e.g., sample prep, dilutions, etc.). Strong understanding of fundamental analytical chemistry principles. Experience with atomic spectroscopy techniques (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AAS) is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desired Skills: Experience with other analytical techniques (e.g., SEM, XRD, HPLC, UV-Vis, Titration, IC). Knowledge of statistical analysis and data processing software. Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS). Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and move laboratory equipment and supplies. Ability to work with hazardous chemicals. Work Environment: Laboratory environment with potential exposure to chemicals.
