Mechanical Engineer

Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has a position open and is looking for qualified candidates for a Mechanical Engineer. The job location is the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD . Interested applicants should apply at www.cruzinc.us. Scope: Provide mechanical engineering analysis and support services for industrial operations and manufacturing. Responsibilities: · Experience in Industrial operations and manufacturing · Review of facility designs for compliance with energetic requirements. · Review of drawings for compliance with energetic manufacturing to include controls, schematics, and structural drawings. · Ability to evaluate step by step processes and identify hazards. · Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field · Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. · Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. · Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes. · Some fabrication involved, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. · Provides leadership and guidance to a functional area and the organization. · Advisory role on complex and challenging projects and initiatives · Work is highly independent. · Explosives Operations (Preferred) Education and Experience Requirements: · Experience in developing system descriptions and developing Technical Data Packages. · Bachelor of Science (BS) in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineer technology. · Ability to obtain Secret or Interim Secret security clearance.
