About the Role: We are seeking a self-motivated Project Manager to oversee heavy civil projects from initial design to completion. You’ll work on FDOT projects, including highway expansions, bridge construction, and complex roadwork developments. This role involves overseeing structural components such as reinforced concrete, precast elements, and heavy earthwork, ensuring compliance with FDOT specifications and safety standards. You'll manage critical aspects like traffic control coordination, phased construction sequencing, and ensuring quality control on paving and drainage systems. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, accountable, and skilled at managing design-build contracts with minimal oversight while driving project milestones and stakeholder communication effectively. Responsibilities: Manage FDOT heavy civil projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of highways, roads, and bridge builds. Coordinate with government agencies, inspectors, and other key stakeholders to ensure project compliance with state regulations and specifications. Lead large-scale infrastructure projects, including phased highway expansions, bridge construction, and major roadway improvements. Handle scheduling, critical path tracking, and project milestones with precision, ensuring minimal disruptions to public traffic flow. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, with a focus on high-risk environments such as elevated structures, heavy equipment operations, and traffic control zones. Collaborate with field teams on self-performed scopes, including grading, paving, structural concrete, and bridge deck pours. Requirements: Experience managing FDOT heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, and major roadway construction. Familiarity with design-build and lump sum contracts; FDOT-specific certifications or coursework preferred. Proficiency in construction scheduling, critical path tracking, and project controls for large infrastructure builds. Strong accountability, initiative, and ability to lead both office and field operations with minimal oversight. Experience managing self-performed work in areas such as structural concrete, paving, and bridge construction. Comfortable in both client-facing roles and active field settings, maintaining professionalism and clear communication. Location: Dade City / Tampa Florida Compensation: $100K–$140K base salary annual bonus (based on performance) Benefits: Company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) 6% match.
