Solar Engineer

Title : Solar Engineer (PE) Location : HYBRID - Lakewood, CO Duration : Permanent Salary : $125,000 - 140,000 Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Engineering 6 years of experience in BESS and/or solar substation design experience PE License Day-to-Day : Insight Global's client seeks an experienced utility-scale PV Solar & BESS engineer in the Denver, CO area. They will act and function as the lead design engineer for utility-scale PV Solar projects. They will lead design/engineering teams who are responsible for electrical design packages for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. They will perform QA/QC on MV collection system design projects and mentor junior engineers. The design includes single-line diagrams, collection system layouts, communication diagrams, power cable sizing and cable schedules, and wiring diagrams. Additional responsibilities include but aren't limited to AC/DC ampacity studies; Arc Flash Analysis; short circuit and reactive capability analysis; and voltage drop calculations.
