Linux System Administrator

Job Summary: We are looking for a proficient Linux Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our Linux environments in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience with RHEL versions 6-9, with a preference for those skilled in RHEL Satellite for patching. Responsibilities: Maintain and upgrade Linux systems (RHEL 6-9), focusing on performance tuning and patch management using RHEL Satellite (preferred). Create automation scripts in Bash or Python and use tools like Ansible for efficient deployments. Manage network settings and enhance system security. Oversee cloud-based workloads and manage containerized applications. Design backup strategies and execute disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability. Implement monitoring tools to track system performance and troubleshoot issues using detailed log analysis. Develop systems that are highly available and scalable, ensuring smooth operations under varying loads. Qualifications: Expertise in Linux system administration, especially RHEL 6-9. Strong skills in scripting and automation with Bash or Python. Proficient in networking, security protocols, cloud technologies, and virtualization. Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning. Familiarity with system monitoring and log analysis tools. Certifications (Preferred): Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) CompTIA Linux Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) Professional Attributes: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
