We are seeking an experienced Electrical PLC Technician for a well-known and established company in Akron, Ohio. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing both low and high-voltage industrial electromechanical and control systems for utility and production equipment. Pay Rate:$36.00 - $38.00 per hou r Shift: 2nd and 3rd (Two openings) Location: Akron, Ohio, 100% Onsite, Direct Hire Duties and Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low and high-voltage industrial electromechanical and control systems for utility and production equipment. Document existing and new equipment, including control and power system installations. Assist in the development, implementation, repair, and maintenance of the plant's instrumentation, control, and electromechanical systems. Reload and reboot PLC systems to restore faulted equipment after power outages. Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to identify causes of trouble. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, examining their form and texture to detect imperfections. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repair electrical and mechanical equipment, replace defective parts, and lubricate and clean parts as needed, in accordance with food and beverage manufacturing quality system practices. Install special functional and structural parts in devices and conduct performance tests. Qualifications: A one-year certificate from a college or technical school; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A state electrician license is a plus. Complete understanding of industrial electrical systems, including DC and AC voltage. Proficiency in electrical installations, including conduit and wiring practices. Tools Required: Mechanics must have their own basic tool set, which should include, but is not limited to: - Wrenches and sockets - Adjustable wrenches - Pliers - Nut drivers - Screwdrivers
