Pride Health is hiring a Medical Technologist to support our client’s facility in Austin, TX. This is a 13-week contract (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist for a travel contract in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, ensuring accurate results, and providing age-appropriate care based on established protocols. You'll be working in a fast-paced clinical environment, responding to emergency situations, and contributing to accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Key Responsibilities: Verify patient demographic information and determine specimen suitability. Perform routine and special procedures per protocols, ensuring correct results. Troubleshoot test errors and specimen issues promptly. Operate various lab equipment, including blood analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges, and more. Ensure patient care protocols are followed, with a focus on accuracy, quality control, and turnaround times. Document all clinical information accurately in the record-keeping system. Qualifications: 1 year of experience in laboratory settings Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science ASCP Certifications Active BLS/BCLS Certification. Additional Information: Location: Austin, TX Job Type: 13-week contract Shifts: Night Shift: 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM (8 days on, 6 days off) Pay Range : $1800-$2000 Weekly Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
