The CCU RN delivers high-level care to patients with complex medical needs, requiring continuous monitoring, advanced interventions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAssess, plan, and provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the Critical Care Unit, including those with conditions such as heart attack, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-surgical complications.\nMonitor patients’ hemodynamic status, vital signs, and response to treatments, ensuring early identification and intervention of life-threatening conditions.\nAdminister medications, intravenous therapies, and specialized treatments such as vasoactive medications, pain management, and sedation.\nCollaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.\nProvide patient and family education on critical care procedures, condition management, and discharge planning.\nRecognize and respond to arrhythmias, respiratory distress, and other life-threatening complications, implementing interventions according to established protocols.\nAssist with procedures such as intubation, central line placement, arterial line monitoring, and other advanced interventions as needed.\nMonitor and maintain mechanical ventilators, cardiac monitoring equipment, and other life support devices.\nDocument assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.\nParticipate in interdisciplinary rounds, contributing to care planning, goal setting, and discharge planning for critically ill patients.\n\n\nQualifications:\n\nEducation: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.\nLicensure:\n\nValid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.\n\n\nCertification:\n\nAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required.\nCritical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred.\n\n\n Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID #29971323.
