Travel Responsibilities
Float required to Postpartum unit. Care for high-risk antepartum patients (6 weeks to 41 weeks) with conditions such as PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, twins, and substance use disorder in pregnancy. Provide care for fetal demise or loss of patients in both antepartum and postpartum settings, and postpartum mothers with babies in NICU. Note: No newborns on this unit. Unit Details
Support of amnio or sterile spec exam at the bedside. Utilize PCA Pumps, PICC/Central Lines, Syringe Pumps. Administer Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate. Scrub Requirements
Any color scrubs are acceptable, but when floated to the L&D units, scrubs are provided. Certifications
AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (REQUIRED) ACLS (PREFERRED) Skills and Expertise
Work Setting: High Risk Antepartum Antepartum Care and Procedures: Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation). IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC). Medication & Administration: Administer anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy. Labor and Delivery Management: Circulate for C-sections.
