Quality Engineer

Job Description: Quality Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. This role involves monitoring production assembly processes to enhance efficiency, participating in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement, and establishing and monitoring inspection plans based on customer acceptance criteria. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills and will ensure compliance with customer requirements and our Quality Management System. You will work closely with a diverse range of personnel, including engineers, manufacturing staff, various management resources, and U.S. government representatives. Additional responsibilities include providing engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements, writing and incorporating detailed work instructions, and planning and conducting quality audits with formal reporting of findings. Responsibilities Monitor production assembly processes to improve efficiency. Participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement. Establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer acceptance criteria. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and our Quality Management System. Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing personnel, management, and U.S. government representatives. Provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements. Write and incorporate detailed work instructions. Plan and conduct quality audits with formal reporting of findings. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in quality engineering. Experience with ISO 9001 standards. Experience dealing with U.S. government and DoD/Military entities. Knowledge of munitions and firearms standards. Understanding of military specifications from packaging to communication. Comfortable with inspections in a shop floor/assembly environment. Ability to manage internal audits. Support day-to-day operations with quality inspectors. Proficiency in PPAP, corrective action plans, quality assurance, first article inspection, Minitab, and root cause analysis. Ambitious, hands-on, and able to think quickly in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Relevant experience is key; a four-year degree is not necessary. Experience with GD&T, defense industry, defense, DoD, supplier quality, military, and government compliance. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00 Company benefits will be shared upon initial conversation with Actalent and any related questions can be answered at this time.
