Job SummaryCLINICAL PHARMACISTClinical Pharmacists provide pharmaceutical services, with a focus on clinical services, and supervise the work of other professional staff. In addition, Clinical Pharmacists are required to maintain an active Advanced Practice Pharmacist license in good standing issued by the California Board of Pharmacy. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Pharmacist works to improve the health and well-being of our County residents through exceptional clinical services, innovation, and compassion. The Clinical Pharmacist plays a vital role in optimizing patient outcomes through clinical expertise and evidence-based practice.For more detailed information about the Clinical Pharmacist job classification, the essential duties, the knowledge, skills and abilities, click here.Pharmaceutical services are currently provided to San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital (an Acute Psychiatric Hospital), Edgemoor Hospital (a Distinct Part Skilled Nursing Facility), Public Health Clinics, Behavioral Health Clinics, Mobile Pharmacy, and other locations throughout the County of San Diego. Clinical Pharmacists may be assigned to various locations.Minimum QualificationsA current and valid Advanced Practice Pharmacist license, without restriction or probation, issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy AND One board certification issued by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).The Department of Human Resources removes personally identifiable information from all recruitments.
