Position Highlights
- Work location: Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne - 201 Walls Drive Cleburne, Texas 76031
- Work environment: Radiology Diagnostic
- Work hours: PRN Variable Shifts including weekends and holidays
Qualifications - External
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Graduate of AMA approved/accredited Ultrasound Program (preferred)
- Associate Degree (preferred)
- 2 years clinical experience in hospital radiology setting (preferred)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography (required) OR
- ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (required), must have 2 certifications upon hire AND
- Other RVT or VT(RVS) as one modality if performing vascular sonography (required)
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Ultrasonographer II will
- assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
- correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
- work in tandem with staff to ensure laser images from modality or PACS are printed as needed.
- operate, care for and maintain equipment.
- prepare room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).
- handle patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging.
