Job Description
Job Title: Technologist
Job Specialty: Computed Tomography (CT)
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in CT Technology
License: Temporary NH MIRT license required, must possess an out-of-state Imaging license if applying for Temporary; non-licensed Imaging Techs need to apply for PERM NH MIRT license
Certifications: ARRT (CT)
Must-Have: Experience with IV/Contrast injection and work with Adolescent-Geriatric patient populations
Job Description:
- Position and immobilize patients on procedure table using supportive devices to obtain precise positioning, following radiologist-specified protocols to perform scans.
- Administer contrast media orally and intravenously.
- Enter data such as type of scan requested, slice thickness, scan time, and other technical data into the computer.
- View images of organs or tissues on the video display screen to ensure picture quality.
- Evaluate radiographs and computer-generated information for technical quality.
- Demonstrate new techniques, equipment, and procedures to staff.
- Implement and monitor radiation safety measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff, ensuring compliance with government regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Equipment: GE Scanner, Siemens Somatom Definition AS Scanner
Caseload: Typically averages 65-80 patients on Fridays, 30-40 patients on weekends
Patient Population: Varied age groups, including an increased volume of the elderly population
Dress Code: Any color scrubs
Profile Requirements:
- Work history/resume
- Home/taxable address somewhere in profile
- Skills checklist completed within the past year
- License verification
- Three supervisory references, with two submitted during the application, must be from within the last three years of employment
