Compensation : $67.59 - $67.59 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : 140628 Shift Description : Rotational shifts - 36 hours Travel Computed Tomography Technologist Hartford, Connecticut, United States - 06105Job Title: Travel Computed Tomography Technologist Number of positions: 1 Shift: Rotational shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 06/28/2023 Hourly pay: $67.59 OT: 1.5 Weekly Pay: $2,534 JOB DESCRIPTION Department: Diagnostic Radiography - CT Shift: 11PM - 7:30AM The CT Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality images. The CT Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS. Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies. Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes. Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients. Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions. Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues. Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality. Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required. QUALIFICATIONS One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required. Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT. Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required. Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire. Proficient computer skills.
