Purpose of Position:
Sportsmans Warehouse is searching for a strategic minded individual to lead our FP&A and pricing team while being a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer. This position will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization including financial planning and analysis. The VP of FP&A will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the Company, providing leadership and direction to the FP&A and pricing team. This position will partner with other members of senior management to drive business performance and growth while providing critical insights to business operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the FP&A and pricing function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic pricing and planning.
Develop and maintain financial models to support business decision making and long-term strategic planning.
Provide insightful analysis and financial models on financial performance, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with Sportsmans growth goals and objectives.
Lead and oversee the annual budgeting process, including establishing targets, coordinating with other functional leaders, managing timing and expectations, and presenting to executive leadership.
Work cohesively with the accounting function to accurately report out the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Prepare all necessary materials and assist with the quarterly earnings call.
Prepare and oversee the creation of all quarterly Board of Director, Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Nominating and Governance Committee material.
Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
Work with the pricing team to provide strategic oversight to the margin and product lifecycle of the Companys merchandise.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Partner with other departments, including merchandising, marketing, store operations, HR, IT and asset protection to provide financial insights and support for key business initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes to inform financial planning and decision making.
Qualifications:
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proven ability to translate data into actionable items.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive business performance through financial insights.
Proficient in financial software and tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and business intelligence platforms.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
High level of integrity, with commitment to ethical behavior and decision making.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field: MBA or CPA preferred
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
CPA or MBA preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hire, train, supervise and retain competent FP&A individuals.

The employee may be required to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
