Nightwing is seeking a vendor and procurement specialist to join a dynamic program in a world-class operations facility. The program requires a candidate that can support a broad range of fast paced, quick reaction purchases and material and subcontract requirements. This role is a primary point of contact to facilitate and maintain vendor relationships between customer and supply chain. Procurement specialist will work directly with project teams to analyze the procurement objectives while cultivating relationships with project teams and the corporate supply chain team and project teams to deliver the customers’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily work will require performing and monitoring the workflow
Ability to host and perform project coordination session with a varied audience
Assess project execution goals and develop procurement and acquisition strategies to deliver satisfaction goals and objectives
Create and execute the procurement and acquisition strategy as part of a supply chain team
Prepare purchase requests for materials and assist with Subcontract Statement of Work (SSOW) creation for subcontracted services
Capable to exercise both as an individual and as part of a team to determine performance strategies and approaches as liaison between program and other stakeholders
Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracy
Contribute to procurement and project team success
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Poly
Required Skills:
Collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand business requirements and vendor performance; support the implementation of appropriate vendor management strategies
Ability to clearly articulate technical and nontechnical subject matters, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical stakeholder personnel
Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet metric targets
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Willingness to work as required to get the job done on time
Prior experience with Government contracting practices and procedures
Ability to execute taskings from assignment through to completion; and the ability to delegate and support the completion within the team
Good judgement, decision making, and practical application skills under stressful and tight deadlines
5+ years' experience related to vendor management and contract, subcontract, or procurement related experience
Desired skills:
Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, architectural and structural engineering, fire protection, telecommunications, security design and construction principles
Experience working in supply chain systems (SAP, PRISM, etc)
Experience generating Subcontract Statements of Work (SSOWs)
Compliance with FAR regulation, company policy, and program run rules
Data analytic dashboard management
