Salary See Position Description Job Number 24DOCCR236TF165 Closing Date 1/3/2025 11:59 PM Central Description Hennepin County's Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking to fill Probation Officer positions within the Adult Specialized Supervision Services (AS3) division, Enhanced Supervision. The Enhanced Supervision position will supervise probationary clients who have committed a sex offense. The officer works toward client change and public safety through a combination of individual assessments, individualized case planning, and supervision strategies matched to offender need and risk. These positions are open to different levels of experience/qualifications and could be hired into the Probation Officer (PO), Senior PO, or Career PO level. Salary based upon qualifications and duties: Probation/Parole Officer salary: $60,080.36 - $90,120.54 Annually Probation/Parole Officer, Senior salary: $63,084.38 - $94,626.57 Annually Probation/Parole Officer, Career salary: $69,550.52 - $104,325.79 Annually Location and hours: These positions are hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Government Center, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55487 and remote as job duties require. Work hours are generally Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While these positions are designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin. In these positions, you will: Assess client risk and needs and provide guidance, counseling, and monitoring as appropriate. Supervise clients in accordance with supervision standards and case plans including transfer cases from outside of Hennepin County. Prepare court reports, court orders, and attend court hearings. Provide and use resources related to sexual or pornography addiction, sexual health, chemical use, abusive behaviors, mental health treatment and monitoring; cognitive behavioral interventions; and work in collaboration with stakeholders to address specific needs and risk of an offender. Assist clients in completion of initial Predatory Offender Registration paperwork and maintain compliance with sex offender registration statutes. Review forensic reports and follow search and seizure evidence procedure. Maintain case files, records, and correspondence. Perform onsite Officer of the Day duties. Conduct field and home visits. o Individuals hired at the Probation Officer (PO) level must demonstrate an ability to supervise a caseload with the least complex cases within the unit and build proficiency and competency with essential functions of the position through formal and informal training, and perform the duties listed above. o Individuals hired at the Senior PO level must operate with limited oversight and demonstrate an ability to actively case manage more complex cases, independently developing/adjusting supervision and/or case plans and defending decisions independently in court, and perform the duties listed above. o Individuals hired at the Career PO level must demonstrate an ability to operate independently with the most complex cases within the unit, are prof cient with correctional Evidence Based Practices, and may stand in for a Corrections Unit Supervisor (CUS) to coach Senior- and PO-level peers on their work assignments requiring higher level functions.
