The

Supply Chain Procurement Manager

is a key member of the EDCO Products Operations team. This full-time, exempt position is based in Hopkins, MN and reports to the Director of Manufacturing. This is a position with normal working hours of Monday to Friday between 7:00AM - 4:30PM.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Strategic Buyer to manage the procurement of aluminum and steel materials for our operations. This role involves overseeing the sourcing, negotiation, and purchase of high-quality metals, packaging and paint while ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the aluminum and steel markets, supplier relationships, and the ability to strategically plan for both short- and long-term purchasing needs.

Supplier Management:

Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers of aluminum and steel, packaging and paint, negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure favorable conditions for the company. Strategic Sourcing:

Analyze market trends, demand forecasts, and inventory levels to plan and source materials strategically, ensuring competitive pricing and supply security. Purchasing & Order Management:

Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, from order creation to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of aluminum and steel. Cost Management:

Continuously evaluate material costs and identify opportunities for savings through supplier negotiations, bulk purchasing, and market insights. Inventory Control:

Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, working closely with warehouse and production teams to meet manufacturing demands without overstocking. Contract Negotiation:

Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring compliance with all contracts, specifications, and quality standards. Market Analysis:

Conduct regular market research to stay informed of industry pricing trends, material availability, and potential supply chain disruptions. Reporting:

Provide regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, inventory levels, and supplier performance to management through NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel. Collaboration:

Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure alignment between purchasing decisions and production schedules. Master data owner within Netsuite ERP system; including the setup and management of SKUs Coordinates and consolidates the buying efforts for the company including raw materials (metal, packaging, paint) and plant materials (consumables, PPE, tools, forklifts, truck, machinery, etc.). General supervision of assigned team, including inventory management and receiving functions. Other duties as assigned. Competencies

Problem solving - Ability to navigate ambiguous situations to solve problems. Be a thought leader that others come to for guidance. Computer Skills - Ability to become SME in Netsuite ERP. Capable of developing and maintaining reporting mechanisms via ERP and Microsoft Excel. Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Language Skills - Ability to effectively communicate verbally and electronically. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement, preferably with a focus on metals (aluminum and steel). Strong understanding of the aluminum and steel industries, including supply chain dynamics, pricing trends, and sourcing strategies. Proven negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships. Experience with purchasing software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to forecast and manage complex problems independently and inventory effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across departments and with external suppliers. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSPM, CIPS) is preferred but not required. Physical Demands
