Position and Responsibilities: Print Design:
Develop the overall layout and production design for magazines, advertisements, brochures, and reports. Creative Development:
Create designs, concepts, and layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. Project Management:
Take ideas or verbal briefs from the Marketing Team from concept to completion. Multimedia Design:
Create effective graphics for presentations, displays, and exhibits. Digital Design:
Work with the Webmaster to conceive information architecture, wireframing, user experience design for both web and interactives, implementation using HTML/CSS, social media graphics and banners, static and rich banner ads, and email campaigns. Collaboration:
Work closely with the Creative Director and other graphic and visual designers to distill complex scientific concepts into intuitive graphics and visual explanations. Asset Management:
Maintain a repository of production-quality source files for various projects. Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Graphic Design or a related field required. Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design, with magazine layout experience required. Skills:
Extensive knowledge of graphic design management tools/software (Adobe Creative Suite). Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. Self-starter with a high level of motivation and follow-through. Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines, often with quick turnaround times. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and output. Reliable, dependable, and detail oriented.
