DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Accurately and efficiently complete all components of processing, verifying, and dispensing a prescription. Maintain records of the transactions of the pharmacy as required by state and federal law and as necessary to maintain adequate control and accountability of all drugs. Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the pharmacy. Contribute to an efficient workflow in all steps of the prescription process including accurate point-of-sale services (e.g. cash handling, prescription mail out, and mobile delivery) and third-party adjudication; other duties as assigned. Provide clinical problem-solving, health care education, drug information, medication use evaluation, patient counseling on prescription and over-the-counter therapy, and other direct patient activities. Effectively communicate with staff members, medical professionals, and patients about medications. Demonstrate knowledge of and take correct action in clarification of medication orders, facilitation of controlled substance discrepancy resolution, significant drug interactions, and appropriate patient medication dosage. Document clinical interventions and troubleshoot complex problems and situations. Display professional integrity and empathy in all written and oral forms of communication. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental personnel, superiors, employees, and the public. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. Pharmacist licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. Medication Therapy Services (MTS) endorsement within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification. Notice of Intent to Immunize (NOI) endorsement within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in retail pharmacy. Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
