The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution located in downtown Chicago, is seeking a full-time OBGYN physician to join the Division of Family Planning and the Division of General OBGYN as an OB Hospitalist .
Candidates should be board eligible or certified in both General Obstetrics and Gynecology and Complex Family Planning. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to resident/fellow education, clinical medicine, and clinical research, in accordance with Rush’s commitment to academic excellence. The candidate selected will split their clinical time between complex family planning and OB hospitalist. CFP Clinical responsibilities will include staffing and operating room procedures and complex family planning clinics. OB hospitalist clinical responsibilities include staffing a 10-bed labor and delivery unit with a busy high-risk obstetrical service. .
The Obstetrics and Gynecology team at Rush University Medical Center utilizes a multidisciplinary team-based approach, including generalists, OB hospitalists, and sub-specialists in maternal fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, family planning and advanced practice providers, as well as working closely with colleagues in neonatology, anesthesiology, other medical specialties, nursing and ancillary staff. Rush’s Complex Family Planning Division has an established and growing fellowship, has a busy clinical practice, is active in research and education, and builds partnerships across the Midwest to expand abortion access.
