First Things First... What is a Multipurpose Home?
Multipurpose homes are residential facilities for youth, designed to interrupt lifetime criminal behavior for Level II repeat juvenile offenders. Our staff live and work in these homes, serving 10 judicial districts, implementing a care model that helps teens change problem behaviors and attitudes, expand their skills, and recover from setbacks and mistakes.
What Does the Family Services Specialist Do?
As a Family Services Specialist, you will work under the direction of the Residential Program Manager to provide a comprehensive array of services to juveniles and their families during and after the juvenile's stay in the Multipurpose Juvenile Home. Your goals will include actively engaging families in their child's care and treatment, promoting family reunification, and supporting the juvenile's successful adjustment in the family and community post-discharge.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain an active caseload of juveniles and families. Engage families to be involved in the care and treatment of their child. Facilitate family reunification and community reintegration for juveniles. Collaborate with the Residential Program Manager and other staff to implement individualized care plans. Provide ongoing support and resources to families and juveniles post-discharge. Qualifications Needed for This Amazing Job:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with families; experience with the target population is strongly preferred. Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Successful completion of pre-service and ongoing training, including physical restraint training, First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and medication administration. Ability to work in a high-pressure, high-stress environment. Benefits (Available to Full-Time Staff After 90 Days):
