Finally, being patient-centered, we prioritize the needs and well-being of those we serve, striving to exceed expectations and make a meaningful difference in their lives.What an average day looks likeThe Data /Business Analyst will engage with OCHS staff to understand their needs, guide staff to clarify the specifics of their request, and ultimately identify the relevant data points that could be used to answer requesters' questions. The Data Analyst will additionally use the identified data to build OCHS-staff-facing reports and/or dashboards using business intelligence tools. The role will report to the Chief Strategy Officer, This is a hybrid role that will typically work remotely but will periodically be asked to be on-site for business reasons such as meetings, trainings, and/or information collection. (Approximately 2-4 days/month).Essential Functions: Field and triage staff data requests Work with staff to guide/clarify details Prioritize requests according to OCHS leadership's guidance, reporting requirements and strategic priorities. Know OCHS data, including Epic EMR data, exceptionally well. This will include having a basic understanding of how data is collected and stored in systems such as the EMR. Create reports and dashboards for OCHS using Business Intelligence reporting tools Manage delivery and accessibility of reports/dashboards Ascertain and configure appropriate security/visibility for datasets and reports Evaluate usage of existing reports/dashboards; improve or retire as appropriate Run and conduct quality control/evaluation of reasonableness on data required for periodic organizational reporting needs including, but not limited to: data for UDS reporting; data for financial audits; management of mapping between Epic and Azara DRVS data fields. Interpret documentation from OCHS's data engineering resources Collaborate with data engineering in troubleshooting and improving data products Other related duties and projects as assigned Non-Essential Functions: Attends periodic staff meetings Adheres to OCHS policies Adheres to OCHS values and principles QualificationsQualifications: 3-5 years' experience as an Analyst or in a similar position.High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, etc.) preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. At least 1 year of work experience with SQL queries, database design, and understanding of data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with healthcare data systems such as Epic. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and organizational abilities. Ability to work within a collaborative team setting and independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in computer skills including Epic, Outlook, Microsoft Office, OneDrive, etc. Excellent judgment and ability to solve problems in a timely manner. Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards. Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse and inclusive environment.
