PURPOSE: The Branch Assistant provides assistance and guidance to Tellers in their daily objectives while ensuring the branch is compliant with regulatory requirements and is operationally sound. The Branch Assistant also assists management with administrative functions. By delivering a world-class customer experience for all current and prospective customers, the Branch Assistant deepens and retains existing customer relationships while mentoring the teller staff to do the same. Responsible for achieving personal sales goals and proactively guiding sales activities of the platform staff toward achievement of branch goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure operational integrity and risk management by ensuring that procedural requirements and processes are known and utilized. • Meet established sales goals and acts as a leader in the branch. • Oversee the staffing, coaching, and performance management of all tellers. Provide guidance to tellers in complex customer transactions. Assist in the training and coaching of tellers. • Participate in the daily teller activities needed to meet the demands of the branch including processing teller transactions and performing standard teller activities. • Provide a supporting role ensuring platform team members are also aware and adhering to operations policies and procedures. • Greet and interact with each customer and non-customer with world class service. • Maintains and balances own cash drawer, daily ATM transactions, branch work and vault cash. • Answer inquiries regarding bank products and services. Able to open new customer accounts and take loan applications as opportunities arise. Assist customers with problem resolution. • Identify referral opportunities that will benefit the customer while deepening their banking relationship with BankFive. • Completes other projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate's degree in Business or related area is preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required. • Two years of progressive retail banking experience preferred; Bank experience is required. • NMLS registration or eligibility for registration is required. • Proven experience in customer service, sales/business development and problem solving skills required. • Ability to use various office equipment including computer terminal; Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred; knowledge of banking platform programs required. • Ability to work under pressure, within deadlines, prioritize and manage changing priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously. • Notary public required (eligibility for registration required at hire).

EFFORT: • Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time. • Essential to follow written and verbal directions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, and scanners. • Needs to be able to move about inside the office space to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. May work in closets / confined storage areas. • Use of hands and fingers to handle/ operate a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, scanner, computer printer, • Position does involve crawling/ squatting / kneeling/ to place or move objects under desks or in closets. • Frequently communicates verbally directly with customers and coworkers; uses telephone to exchange information. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance visions, ability to adjust focus. • Regular travel between main office and branches, often within day of notice

WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Schedule varies weekly; shifts include early arrival, late departure, overtime, and/or Saturday / Sunday hours. • Work is primarily performed standing behind the teller line within the branch. • Frequent distractions include overhearing coworker conversations, employees working through the area and similar interruptions
