Mission Systems Cables & Connectors Category Management Team is looking for a Technologist, reporting to the Category Manager. Category Management Technologists support their respective categories and collectively work as a larger team to develop a consistent and collaborative approach. In this highly visible position the technologist works in support of category strategies, with program teams for early engagement to align supplier capabilities and technology roadmaps, and with engineering to influence designs. Position Summary / Responsibilities: Responsible for developing and maintaining category technology road map that will evolve based upon emerging technology and the industrial landscape. Provide technical support to supplier leads. Maintain the functional supplier matrix to support sourcing guidance and product readiness reviews. Collaborate with the strategist to influence competition and diversity. Supports technical projects in coordination with the digital transformation office. Build relationships to drive supplier and program technology roadmap alignment. Technical and manufacturing problem consultation for supplier continuous improvement. Participate in the Quarterly Business Reviews. Interface with design engineering and suppliers for producibility analysis. Provide technical evaluation of supplier's capabilities during the business acquisition process (BAP). Act as technical point of contact for suppliers when responding to NG requests (RFPs, RFI, RFQ). Support cost control efforts through LTPA, bundling, etc. This position may be filled at the Principal (Band 3) or Sr. Principal (Band 4) level, depending on experience. Basic Qualification: (Band 3) Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience in engineering, global supply chain, project or business management, strategic sourcing, operations, or other relevant and related experience, OR master's degree in engineering with 3+ of experience in engineering, global supply chain, project or business management, strategic sourcing, operations, or other relevant and related experience. US Citizenship. Basic Qualification: (Band 4) Bachelor's degree in engineering with 9+ years of experience in engineering, global supply chain, project or business management, strategic sourcing, operations, or other relevant and related experience, OR master's degree in engineering with 7+ of experience in engineering, global supply chain, project or business management, strategic sourcing, operations, or other relevant and related experience. US Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications: Cable and/or connector experience. RF/digital design background. Defense, military, and/or aerospace electronics experience. Technical project management. Supplier management experience. Product/Process development and auditing. Salary Range: $88,600 - $133,000 Salary Range 2: $109,900 - $164,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
