Estimator - EV / TI
Our client is a fast-growing construction start-up in Thousand Oaks, CA, is seeking an Estimator to join their team. The company offers Design build services to commercial customers, managing both exterior (e.g., parking improvements, EV charger installations) and interior projects (e.g., retrofits, tenant improvements). The Estimator will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent construction projects, ensuring financial performance, and growing a portfolio of projects, customers, and leads.
Key Responsibilities:
Support ongoing and prospective projects by estimating tasks. Perform quantity take-offs from blueprints or field measurements. Assist in pricing and bidding of construction projects. Communicate with various stakeholders to clarify project details. Review milestone documents for value alternative opportunities. Participate in internal estimate reviews and final assembly of estimates. Collect and organize bid information post-bid. Aid field operations with change order pricing. Conduct frequent site visits for field verification and meetings. Subcontractor Analysis:
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors. Prepare contractual exhibits for subcontracts. Solicit subcontractor support and evaluate bids. Industry Knowledge and Relationships:
Build relationships with subcontractors and internal clients. Stay updated with the latest estimating technology and techniques. Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Proficiency in estimating tools like MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and PlanSwift. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Strong math, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. General knowledge of construction principles and processes.
Compensation: Paying up to $120K #LI-DNI
