Director, Developer Relations & Executive Producer (UP&E)

Full-time Business Segment: Universal Products & Experiences We create world-class content, which we distribute across our portfolio of film, television, and streaming, and bring to life through our theme parks and consumer experiences. We own and operate leading entertainment and news brands, including NBC, NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, Telemundo, NBC Local Stations, Bravo, USA Network, and Peacock, our premium ad-supported streaming service. The Director, Developer Relations and Executive Producer for Games & Digital Platforms is a unique hybrid role responsible for bringing a portfolio of exciting games and interactive experiences to life. The experienced candidate will be a creative and technology partner to developers and publishers globally, managing the production and successful release of selected games. This role will also drive creative ideation discussions industrywide, spearhead game pitches, and establish world-class creative development partnerships. Salary range: $130,000 - $170,000. Responsibilities include: Evaluate the gaming marketplace and NBCU IP portfolio to create and present new game concepts to Games & Digital Platforms leadership. Communicate UP&E’s Gaming initiatives; drive new project opportunities; and establish creative partnerships across the Games industry development community. Elevate product quality through innovative creative approaches and best-in-class production methodologies. Lead production and own P&L responsibility for selected Console/PC games, including problem-solving creative and technical challenges. Conduct external development team due diligence and technical reviews with potential partners. Present and recommend new projects and partners as a key member of the Games & Digital Platforms game greenlight team. Drive successful partner relationships through proactive interactions with production leaders at partners. Lead projects by establishing clear goals and objectives. Serve as a subject matter expert on Games industry trends and market opportunities. Qualifications/Requirements: 10+ years of console/PC game production experience. 10+ years developing game strategies and product slates; experience with entertainment-based brands preferred. Extensive industry network across the Games development community. Outstanding project management skills to oversee multiple complex projects. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong working knowledge of deal making and current Games industry trends. Desired Characteristics: Outgoing, people person with enthusiasm for new projects. Strong interest in developing creative and interactive storytelling. Attention to detail in developing resonant entertainment content. Education: A degree from a four-year college, with a preference for an advanced degree. Additional Requirements: Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
