Duties & Responsibilities: The Computer Systems Analyst I (CSA1) shall review and analyze cyber-relevant information contained in industrial security, counterintelligence, Cybersecurity reports, DoD policy documents, and statutes. The Computer Systems Analyst I (CSA1) shall implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide feedback on systems to ensure established security standards and Governmental requirements are met. The Computer Systems Analyst I shall develop and execute data network security. The CSA1 shall develop, execute, plan, and document security test procedures. The CSA1 shall assist with assessing and applying cyber-security controls, addressing concerns, documenting findings, reviewing applicable documents, and providing feedback to ensure system design is compliant with the Risk Management Framework for DOD Information Technology standards specified in DODI 8510.01. The CSA1 shall conduct Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) activities in accordance with the latest Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA) Policy Guide. The CSA1 shall provide support in the maintenance and management of Information System Accreditation with local, DoD, DoN, and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) security requirements necessary to maintain information systems (IS) authority to operate. The CSA1 shall support the government in the preparation of required artifacts and accreditation documentation to support an assessment and authorization (A&A) decision by the Authorizing Official (AO). The CSA1 shall implement current NAVSEA security policies and practices supporting the care and feeding of the approved authorization package baseline within its associated boundary architecture. The CSA1 shall review system audit trails and reports on information system security incidents through the appropriate government channels, at the government direction. The CSA1 shall perform system backups and execute system recovery. The CSA1 shall perform technical internal and external information system security. The CSA1 shall provide system planning support to internal and external customers to ensure cybersecurity requirements and policy are met for joint exercises and test events. The CSA1 shall provide advice and consultation to all levels of management regarding the information security programs and initiatives. The CSA1 shall track the performance of classified information security programs and recommend courses of action to ensure compliance with regulations and policy. The CSA1 shall review agency performance regarding metrics, audits, strategies, and coordinate with the Government to address risks and issues. The CSA1 shall provide to the Government an Authority to Operate (ATO) prior to system. The CSA1 shall research and review current and future Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and provide recommendations to ensure compliance. The CSA1 shall recommend security, policy and technical interpretations based on analysis for the purpose of implementing and/or strengthening safeguards for classified information held by cleared Contractors. The CSA1 shall monitor, interpret, and disseminate emergent policy, regulation, guidance, or instructions regarding cybersecurity. The CSA1 shall draft Command Directives, Instructions, and policy for Government review to ensure awareness and understanding of current cybersecurity policy and regulation. The CSA1 shall conduct systems security engineering oversight activities to ensure program compliance within current agency policy. The CSA1 shall perform miscellaneous and administrative support functions as directed by the site lead. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Professional Certifications (see mandatory requirements): CompTIA Security+ or equivalent and Continuous Education (CE). Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
Minimum/General Experience: Two years of experience in: Installing and configuring network. Updating virus protection. Providing IT analysis and/or IT program.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and two years of experience in the Information Technology field, OR, Six years of professional experience in the Information Technology.
