Advanced Implementations Network Engineer . In this role, you will be critical in overseeing the installation, configuration, testing, monitoring, and servicing of network equipment for Department of Defense networks, ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities: Manage customer coordination, Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), and oversee reporting functions for new network equipment and service activations compliant with DISA standards. Configure and maintain a substantial out-of-band management network featuring Cisco and Juniper devices with tailored baseline configurations. Upgrade software across Cisco and Juniper devices to ensure optimal performance. Document and create project plans, addressing IP addressing schemes and port assignments for management nodes. Analyze system requirements in collaboration with users to meet functional needs effectively. Ensure accuracy of information regarding points of contact (POC), location, and interfaces in line with the provided requirements. Engage directly with DISA project managers and customers to clarify and resolve any unclear requirements. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and approvals to maintain momentum on service requests. Basic Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of network hardware specifications and industry processes. Rich experience in network engineering, problem management, and performance assessment. Proficiency in networking architectures and evaluating new technologies for improvement. Solid understanding of data and voice network design, including military and commercial protocols. Deep familiarity with network services and appliances, including routers, load balancers, DNS, and firewalls. Exceptional skills in configuring and analyzing network systems. Strong collaborative and self-driven capability to achieve tasks efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Active Secret security clearance required. DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DISA systems and processes, or prior DISA employment. Familiarity with SharePoint for data entry or order processing. Experience in service ordering and request entry into DISA Storefront. Ability to provide thorough customer outreach to validate POC, locations, and interfaces. Education and Experience: BS degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a Masters with 6-10 years. A Doctorate in a technical field is also acceptable. Location: Scott AFB, IL

Salary Range:

$89,700.00 - $162,150.00 The Leidos pay range serves as a guideline and is not a guarantee of salary. Compensation factors include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and market alignment.
