The Advanced Practice Nurse assumes responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty.

In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include clinical practice, staff and patient education, and research.

The Advanced Practice Nurse serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Education Requirements

Master's degree - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License/Certification Requirements

License: New Jersey Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant license Certification: AHA BLS certification for health care providers Special Requirements
